HARVEST
The Syrah is harvested slightly overripe in order to be consistent with the ripening times of the Mourvèdre.
VINIFICATION
Whilst waiting for the longer-ripening Mourvèdre, the Syrah is harvested slightly overripe. The two grapes are then macerated together, receiving a pneumatic pressing and maturing for 10-14 months in 300-litre oak barrels from the forests of Tronçais, Allier and Vosges.
ON THE PALATE
The nose offers intense aromas of ripe cherries 'in alcohol', liquorice, garrigue and roasted cocoa beans. The body is soft and the palate is refined, elegant and harmonious.
EVENTS IT MAKES MAGICAL
There are moments when it seems almost impossible for certain opposites to attract, and then... Then they just come together in a harmonious, intense and carefree dance. Just like the Mourvèdre and Syrah grapes.
