It is a concentrate of salt and iodine. It is a slap of the sea.
95% Arinto dos Açores + 5% combination of Verdelho, Boal (Malvasia Fina) and Alicante Branco (Boal de Alicante).
Direct pressing, 12h cold decanting, mix of indigenous and neutral yeasts, first pressing vinified horizontally in stainless steel (70%), second pressing fermented in 3 year old French oak barrels (30%), without batonnage for 12 months.
ON THE PALATE
Citrusy straw yellow colour. Strong aromas of iodine and salt, with a hint of linden. The opening salvo is dense and the acidity lingers until the end of the taste.
EVENTS IT MAKES MAGICAL
This is a wine born of a vineyard between 60 and 80 years old, 580 metres from the sea, whose terrain is of solid lava rock formed 1500-2000 years ago. Perfect for celebrating situations full of energy, explosive and disruptive like the volcano in its DNA.
