Much to our immense good fortune, it is a survivor.
Its vine, present only in the Azores, was once on the verge of extinction.
Recovered by António Maçanita when there were only 89 specimens left, today it is gradually being replanted in its volcanic terrain to ensure its survival.

100% Terrantez do Pico.
HARVEST
Selective hand harvesting, mainly from the island of Pico but a small percentage also comes from the island of São Miguel.
VINIFICATION
Whole bunch crushing, natural racking after 12 hours. First pressing fermented in stainless steel tanks with temperature control, second pressing (30%) fermented in barrels in their 3rd year.
ON THE PALATE
Citrus colour. Fine, delicate, it has an intense floral bouquet with notes of tea, bergamot and iodine. The opening is full with just a hint of iodine and salt.
